Soon you can break out your killer moves in the Metaverse thanks to the partnership between The Sandbox and DanceFight! The world’s leading dance battle app is bringing authentic DanceFight experience to its own dedicated LAND in the virtual gaming world. So dance creators can now take advantage of NFTs just like digital artists did!
DanceFight is purely about head-to-head competitions where the community votes for the winner. It’s enjoying huge success as one of the leading apps in the iOs store and has the full backing of the US-based street dance community.
The Sandbox x DanceFight Partnership
This collaboration will bring head-to-head street dance competitions to the gaming metaverse for the first time! Another highlight is how the partners will transform DanceFight battles from IRL videos to 3D dance-offs featuring player avatars.
In addition, the DanceFight team will create a dance venue in their LAND. This will be a multi-purpose space where dancers of all skill levels, backgrounds and countries come together. They can also connect, collab, practice, battle and add dimension to their craft. So if you are a dance creator or you just want to enjoy pulsing live dance battles, events and music — this is the place to be!
Through the partnership, dance creators will now be able to monetize their personal dance moves. All they have to do is mint it as NFT animations then players can purchase and apply the steps to their own avatar. As early as now, famous Dancers are already onboard. The list includes Slim Boogie, Arsenal, Pumpkin, Jon Gifted, Enerjae and Jesse Sykes. KANG FRVR (Isaiah Sosho), the epic dancer behind the massive Kangsta Wok dance phenomenon, will also join the platform!
The Sandbox’s Dominance
Sebastien Borget, COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, is thrilled to welcome a new segment to the decentralized virtual world. He said, “it’s exciting to see choreographers and dancers bringing their artistic skills to bring dance battles to life in the DanceFight LAND. I can’t wait to try out the Kangsta Wok on the dance floor, knowing that the dance community will be behind my efforts to master the art of street dance.”
Part virtual real estate, part amusement park, The Sandbox fully embraces the idea of the metaverse as a continuous shared digital space. DanceFight joins over 200 existing partnerships including The Walking Dead, Snoop Dogg, Adidas, Warner Music Group, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki. What’s common between these partners is that they all empower users to create their own virtual experiences and identities.
