A huge crypto whale is moving more than $110 million worth of XRP in a single transaction this week as the digital asset market attempts to recover from its steep correction earlier this month.
Blockchain tracker Whale Alert reports that an unknown wallet sent 280,684,171 XRP to another unknown wallet on Tuesday morning.
The receiving wallet was activated the same day as the transaction and still holds the digital assets at time of writing, according to the XRP explorer Bithomp. The sending wallet was activated and first received the XRP trove on November 21st.
XRP is trading at $0.40 at time of writing. The seventh-ranked crypto asset by market cap is down more than 1% in the past 24 hours. XRP has also retraced over 13% in the past month and remains more than 88% down from its all-time high of $3.40, which it hit in early January 2018.
